What are the ugliest album covers that you know?

Or....ate the guy who bit the sandwich...

 

What's even worse is that the album was only released in 2013!!!

Oh, man. That puts a different light on it, doesn't it? Looked like 1975 to me.

 

No, I was joking! I don't know when it came out, but you're probably closer to the truth!

 

Ha - I was looking at this and thinking it was some local band...until I saw the Polydor logo on the bottom!

Looks more like a Polymer act, to me.

 

Not so much terrifying as it is pathetic.

 

I looked it up. It looks like it came out in 1980. They were still rocking the flairs in 1980?

 

I assumed it was the mid-70s... If this is 1980 it's almost as bad as if it was 2013!

 

I apologize. In my own defense though it was a funny joke, and had been there for quite some time now.

 

Maybe not the worst cover I've seen, but it does not make me want to listen to the album. He was weird enough looking without the solarized lighting.
Or, perhaps if they had titled it, "Red Hot & Blue", it would have made more sense.

 

Whew! Feeling better now but I shoulda known that.

Honestly,this isn't quite as bad as the cover would suggest. Ron Goedert (RIP) wasn't a half-bad vocalist, reminds me for some reason of a metal Mink Deville. White Witch, for which he is most famous, was pretty Spinal Tap-esque; apparently they were a big deal in Florida, though.

Unfortunately, my cat peed on this one (everyone is a critic!) so I had to toss it in the dustbin. Apparently never released on CD.

I agree great music but the UK cover of Gentle Giant's " Three Friends " is even more horrid in my opinion.

The thing is, there's a really good song hiding in here, I've always enjoyed it. But that cover..... yikes.

 

Wow. That is one fugly cover alright. Mine is just the big friendly giant head (sorry UK). Great album too.

 

Always thought The Doors - LA Woman was ugly.
