Star Wars (1977) tied with The Empire Strikes Back (1980), John Williams, among selections from the other Star Wars films.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), John Williams.
Almost Famous (2000) tied w/ Easy Rider (1969), Various.
Magical Mystery Tour (1967 UK double-EP/or US Capitol LP), The Beatles, tied with More (1969), Pink Floyd.
Planet of the Apes (1968), Jerry Goldsmith, tied with Conan the Barbarian (1982), Basil Poledouris.

I'm sure there are many others, perhaps more deserving, but I'm neither a film nor film soundtrack 'buff'. It's mostly John Williams and the mainstream lot for me...

    You have excellent taste!
To add to my list from last year:
Raiders of the Lost Ark (John Williams)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (Bernard Herrmann)
    The Omen (Jerry Goldsmith)
Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III - The Search for Spock (James Horner)
    Rush Hour (Lalo Schifrin)
    Godzilla (Akira Ifukube)

I could go on and there are also many TV series and composers that I could mention, but that's another thread.

When I'm in a certain mood another score that pushes toward the top is Jerry Goldsmith's The Edge. If anyone can capture scenic grandeur and awe, isolation, fear, horror, and hope in one score it's Goldsmith.

Out of Africa - John Barry
A Passage to India - Maurice Jarre
Star Trek - the search for spock - James Horner (not a fan of Mr Horner as I do find he tends to regurgitate themes and motifs from one movie to the next, but stealing the enterprise is a classic piece of visual music)
Edward Scissorhands (Danny Elfman - probably just as guilty as Mr Horner but I do love this score)

TBF I could probably pick a completely different 4 on any other day - but these have been played recently
