Okay... it's not the end, but what are your favorites (name 1 - 3 movies...)

    My faves:

    1. Kill Bill (no question!!!)
    2. The Matrix Reloaded (indeed!!!)

I haven't seen a lot, but the ones I really liked included:

    Finding Nemo
    X2
    Pirates of the Caribbean

Just below them I would put the Matrix Reloaded, which I thought dragged a bit but was otherwise very engaging.

Other than the final major conflict which was a mess, I kind of liked The Hulk. It was certainly less of a train wreck than the nonsensical Daredevil.

    Regards,

Mystic River is the best I've seen all year, by far. But then again, Return Of The King is right around the bend. Also liked Pirates of the Caribbean.

I enjoyed Kill Bill, but I've got high hopes for "Return of the king". The Matrix reloaded paled in comparisson to the original, I'm hoping that "Revolutions" has more of a story and less reliance on CGI effects.

You got that right! I haven't been that disappointed with a movie in some time. Eye candy was great though!

  8. Ed Bishop

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

The problem with RELOADED was sensory overload due to what should have been the best sequences dragged on way too long....sometimes less is more, and that was forgotten here, most of the way.

KILL BILL, so far...but I've yet to see MYSTIC RIVER and, as already pointed out, RETURN OF THE KING should be pretty neat, too.

School of Rock, Mystic River, Roger Dodger, and Identity.

The Matrix Reloaded was ridiculous. Accordingly, I am ridiculing it.

Finally saw Mystic River last night with the missus and it is a very good yet brutal picture.

Amazing that Clint Eastwood directed this one, he really is becoming a very good director in his late years.

The movie just misses being a classic to me but it should be in the running for this years Best Picture...just on the way he handled the crime scene investigation and its aftermath...Sean Penn was brilliant as was Kevin Bacon and Larry Fishburne (nice to see him not be Morpheus for a change).

I have not seen as many films as most of you but Mystic River is the best film I have seen in quite some time and easily the best I've seen in 03.

Eastwood has been one of the better directors for the last 15 years. There are certainly some duds (Space Cowboys for instance) but there are some very fine films that he has helmed begining with Bird. Mystic River is close to Unforgiven quality.
