What are your YouTube "guilty pleasures"?

I can feel very guilty.

 

Normally, lots of forgotten guilty pleasures turn up on the side of the page while you're swimming through the black hole!

 

Music, music videos, whole movies, behind the scenes/filming locations from movies and TV shows, electronic reviews/repairs/modifications, car stuff, people doing dumb stuff, cat videos...

Old radio airchecks (both scooped and un-scooped). I just love them.

You want guilty pleasures? When no one else is around, I pull the blinds, fire up Youtube and I am secretly addicted to "Shred" videos. It is a whole genre out there. Some of them are really well done, to the point where sometimes you can tell that the person making the parody, actually really enjoys or understands the artist or song in question.

I watch these every once in a while, and I laugh and laugh and laugh so hard, I practically fall out the chair. Something about them just slays me, don't know what or why. There's a "Stairway To Heaven" one that's also a highlight.

I don't know if it's a guilty pleasure, but I read Every 70s Movie » each day and then often go look up the movies on youtube that I haven't seen. And then that leads me to weird artsy European films of the 70s, most of which are awful but occasionally have interesting art direction.

 

Over last Christmas break I got caught up watching the reality series Push Girls, about a group of disabled women in wheelchairs. Of course they were all great looking and seemingly financially pretty well-off. They didn't have to worry about their wheelchairs and equipment either since they were sponsored. Believe me, this is a huge expense if you're disabled. I need my own reality show.

 

I enjoy watching youtube videos of people playing records. I'm not sure if I'm guilty about it, but it does seem like an odd thing when I have a turntable sitting a few feet away.

 

I do that quite a bit too even though I have more records than I'll likely ever listen to.

 

Pimple popping, cyst and boil lancing has always been a cringe worthy favorite. Thanks heavens I'm not 3-D or smell-a-vision enabled...

 

I have a YouTube playlist full of '60s/'70s/'80s low budget horror/sci-fi/action movies. Who needs Netflix?

Do you have the three Sesame Street Old School DVD sets? If not, you should get them. They're pretty fantastic. The "40 Years Of Sunny Days" DVD set is great, too.

 

Yep, I watch them all the time but I use YouTube when I'm on the go.
