Listening to a ton of The Hold Steady. I really am looking forward to seeing them again. I used to despise this band.

Excellent. You might want to give his other stuff as Mark Hollis a listen too. Cheers,

    It's summer time.

The Beach Boys and some "Weird Al" just to break it up.

Currently spinning the "All Summer Long" LP.

Mirah, what a voice/song writer and through my time watching live youtube videos I'm thinking with very few exceptions she doesn't really clean up the vocals in the studio sounds exactly like on the record

Currently it's Jerry Garcia - and specifically all incarnations of the Jerry Garcia Band.

    All four solo Beatles.........again.

The reason being I am in the middle of a friendly email list of my top 250 solo Beatles tunes. I send out five at a time with a history, personal experience, album/45 artwork and MP3's. Fun.

Hmm... 6 months since my last post here and I'm back listening to "All Summer Long" (from the Beach Boys 1964 Copyright sessions thing).

But the wife has me on full-time Bobby Darin. Not a day goes by when she says, "Wouldn't it be nice to put on Bobby Darin about now?"

    Me: "What album or style?"

She: "Anything! Along as it's Bobby!"

The past few days I've been on a wild Mark Wirtz kick: The Matchmakers, Philwit & Pegasus, "A Teenage Opera"...

Thanks Mark F. (how do you tag a Forum Member?)!

  24. Sarah McLachlan - I've always been a fan, but never owned any of her albums on vinyl until this year. I was lucky enough to procure 5 of the OOP Classic Records reissues and I couldn't be happier. I started to appreciate her music more than ever before. She truly is one of the most gifted artists out there. Her lyrics, her voice and her delivery captivate me and I can't seem to get enough. I think I might even be smitten with her. :).
