Just went through my weekly "Heroes" ritual. I should probably buy a new copy, mine was overgraded when I bought it a while back.

 

I had this one on in the car a couple days ago!

 

"Aladdin Sane" and "All The Young Dudes" (Mott), these two albums go very well together.

 

I played "David Bowie" (1967). The 2010 deluxe edition. Or was it last week?

 

Just started listening to the Deram deluxe edition; songs I've never heard before. Quirky little ditties they are.

I've been listening to TVC 15 on a loop all AM.

 

I'm playing Lodger right now - a top 5 Bowie album of mine... possibly top three! 1999 remastered CD.

 

Now playing The Man Who Sold The World... the 2015 CD remaster (kept the Ryko/EMI for the bonus tracks.)




I suppose that it depends how I feel at the time, but this is just about my favourite of his.

 

Brave son salute to my mom, who passed this week. When we were kids she always played music and recorded tracks from radio on tape reels. Late 70's I recorded my Stage 2LP on one of those. Caught her playing that one quite a bit when I got home, with her ironing shirts in the living room. She liked the Ziggy tracks and I'll be playing the Stage 5.1 disc this week.

 

The new No Plan ep, and side one from Low.

 

Sorry to hear that. It's hard to lose a parent even when you're older - you still feel just a little bit like an orphan once they're both gone.

Same thing for me this week.

Listened to No Plan ep...once. The title track is nice but the other 2 new songs I put in the pile of songs I don't like on Blackstar : Sue, Whore.

 

Been on a huge Station to Station kick lately. Always forget how great the title track is.
