I've recently been binging on Dylan so I've addressed the balance and gone with Station To Station.
Gonna go with The Gouster, Leon Sessions and Toy Sessions next.

"Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps)". Original recording on LP and not a remaster.

Trying STATION TO STATION again tho it has a jittery sourness that just is never going to feel on my wavelength. (I'm mostly a HUNKY and ZIGGY man, tho know those so by heart the need to actually play them rarely felt. Blackstar gotten most play in last year, and tho I can see it in some ways as a spiritual/intellectual sequel to STATION, I have more affection for it.)

It's sometimes interesting to imagine being a young fan getting STATION day of release, maybe gettin' a little high, putting on the headphones and just thinking....what the what the what???? That sure must have seemed strange after YOUNG AMERICANS.....I often think about how different I'd feel about certain records if they came to me as "new lp by a hero I've been waiting year/years for" vs. "interesting curiosity from rich back catalog."

During his solo in "The Jean Genie", Peter Frampton quotes "Do You Feel Like I Do" and "Satisfaction," which is kind of cool. I assume Frampton is trading solos with Carlos Alomar? I'll have to look it up.

I finally found Funhouse fade and Bowienet mixes. Officially my vote for most underrated DB track.

Cd of the 50th birthday show at MSG, with great setlist and guests. Love the Lou duets like Queen Bitch and wondering when and how he's gonna sing... Sounds like Lou forgot to bring his bottle of Entertainer's Secret @5:10

I have paid €36 for Low and €49 for Station to Station. Low is near mint and STS is in mint condition. Both play perfectst ofcourse. I had been looking for STS for years without any luck below €50. So I'm really glad to finally get it for less €49 :)

  20. First time listening to Bowie and listening to The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust... I hope I picked the right one to listen.

It's certainly not a 'wrong' one.

    How do you find it?

Did any of you see the last episode of Legion on Wednesday? What an amazing TV show, for me it's easily the best on TV right now, and only 6 episodes in. But anyway, over the closing credits, they were playing a very cool cover of Oh! You Pretty Things, and it was so strange, at first I couldn't connect it to Bowie in my mind, it was so familiar, yet I was blank, but then the chorus was so obvious ... man, Bowie was such an amazing talent, live on you pretty thing ...

  23. Having listened to Here Come the Warm Jets by Brian Eno I really enjoyed this one! I'm really liking his Glam-rock/Art-rock phase!

Last week I finally picked up the official live release from this tour - Live at Nassau Coliseum 1976. I was enjoying that yesterday.
