I haven't heard that one yet. How is it compared to Santa Monica, Live and Stage?

    I think you nailed it.

As, I remember the day, late January 1976 and Station to Station had just hit the shelves at Gaslight Melbourne, the best US import store in town. Bought it that day (@ $6.50, or was $6.95) and put it on the family turntable and thought,

    "What the what was that?"

I already had the Golden Years 45, but that did not prepare me for the album - especially the very long unusual title track intro. Nowadays I like it very much. Back then, at first, it took me a few plays.....

I like it and the StS songs translate well to live setting. I prefer Stage overall though because I'm a huge Berlin trilogy fan.

I am currently playing through the 5 years box (cd) from a couple of years back because I never played it when I bought it. Then I will play through Gouster. With the RCA cds I now have 4 different versions of these albums not including other deluxe sets and Japan only mini sleeves and SHM.

I finished listening to disc 2 of Stage last night and was pleasantly surprised. It's the German RCA cd, and sounds wonderfully clear and smooth. The band sounds a bit hesitant and out of sync at times, but the Berlin songs on disc 2 are great.

So I noticed there are a number of grey market boots on Amazon for the Bowie/NIN tour in '95. Are any of them good SQ?

    The 2016 remaster.

Prior to stationtostation I listened to blackstar...afterwards I might be trying to get the courage to give Never Let Me Down the first listen in many years. That one is by far my least favourite Bowie album, but hey, you cannot listen to the masterpieces only, can you?

BOWPROMO from a 96/24 needle drop of the original real deal, not the (IMO) overpriced RSD vinyl :righton:. I'll happily buy a digital version, hopefully as part of a Deluxe Hunky Dory someday.

I just listened to this, don't know why. Later this week, I'll throw in some Young Americans or Earthling, I think.

I've not read any of the posts but I bet none have listened to the album I played this afternoon having just bought it: 'All Saints - Collected Instrumentals 1977-1999'. I'd never heard of it until a couple of days ago when I came across it on an infamous tax dodging site. It's really good.

Watched Best of Bowie DVD set last night including a number of Easter eggs. Those old clips look rough on a big HD monitor. :sigh:
