Here are two fairly obscure shows from the early 70s that i'd like to see again:

    * Search, starring Hugh O'Brian, Doug McClure, and Tony Franciosa - NBC
    * The Immortal, starring Christopher George on ABC (it lasted a whopping 13 weeks!)

Great thread! Well, here's my TV on DVD wish list; it pretty much covers all bases:

The Fugitive (orig. series, in order; year by year)
The Adventures of Superman (1950's, year by year; in orig. order)
The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr. (entire series set)
In Concert (complete concert performances of bands)
Don Kirshner's Rock Concert (as above; w/o Don's smarmy unhip intros)
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (in order; year by year)
Thriller (orig. horror anthology series; NOT based on the life of MJ! -grin)
Have Gun Will Travel (in order, year by year; not random episodes)
I Am The Law (entire run, 1950's crime drama w/George Raft)
Blake's 7 (British SF series, entire run, year by year; promised, but NYA)
Wanted: Dead or Alive (Steve McQueen western series; entire run)
Action! (Entire run of short-lived send up of Hollywood film industry)
Streets of San Francisco (crime drama w/Michael Douglas; in order, year by year)

Well, there are others trying to edge onto my list such as Space Patrol (50's SF series) and Robin of Sherwood (I think that's the correct title; long running BBC series that used to be shown locally on our PBS affiliate) among others, but I'll save that for later.

    Opinions?

Whoops...i meant to say The Brothers Four, who did the Theme to "Hootenany". I always get those Folk Groups mixed up....

Also, remember that "Hootenany" was done on FILM, not videotape. So, its very possible that the film is stored somewhere. I have a brief network promo, and that was done on Film as well. If they exist, now THAT would be a great DVD.

I'm quite positive that I heard Ben Stiller on a radio interview saying that "The Ben Stiller Show" on DVD is a go and has been in the works for a while now. He joked about all the shows on DVD now, including "Saved By the Bell", so it was time for his show to hit DVD. :)

Yes, Guy, I'm Sure. The Brothers Four issued the theme as a single, actually, in 1964.

"Ben Stiller" comes out next Tuesday, 12/2.

Some episodes of "Get a Life" are already out - there are two volumes with a total of eight shows...

Funny how things change over time. I watched that show religiously, when the reruns were in syndication and they were still putting out new episodes. Saw it about a year ago...it sure looks dated! ;) Didn't have quite the same effect as it did on a 12-year-old in the mid 70's!

Nice! Thanks for the heads up. And Saved By The Bell!! I really do like Mark Paul Gosselear (sp?) though on NYPD Blue. A slightly different role for him, yes. That's another show I'd like to get.
