One of the best looking BD's in my collection, great movie too

 

Was a HD-DVD guy, finally crossed over and got my first BR player(got a pretty good price on a barely used Oppo 83SE) that arrives tomorrow. For this special occasion picked up Once Upon A Time In America, Days Of Heaven & The Wizard Of Oz.

How does Gimme Shelter look on BR?

 

Much better than the DVD but not a disc to show off blu-ray (16mm).

 

Not "pretty" but very real. Great film indeed.

Just watched Casablanca with Roger Ebert's commentary track, and it was terrific. The extra documentaries were all the same as on the previous deluxe DVD release.

Also watched Angelina Jolie in Salt -- some astonishingly-good VFX in that film. The plot was not quite as stupid as I had expected.

 

Also watching Salt tonight. The FX was damn good. Noyce directed two of the Tom Clancy films so he's good with action.

 

Looks great on Blu!

Just purchased 40 YEAR-OLD VIRGIN a few days ago. Couldn't resist the $9.99 price tag.

 

Just finished this one last night. Edward Norton is amazing.
