On my way to work this morning....
King Crimson, Live at the Orpheum.
The Quad tour was beset by technical problems because of all the back tracking going on given the complex keyboard texturing featured on the album and replicated live. I love the pictures of Moon with the headphones taped to his head.
Saw them live in Montreal during that tour at a movie theatre that had been converted. Small venue and it was amazing. One of my fave live recordings!
Last few nights "Live Cream Vol 1" and "Live Cream Vol 2" from the new box set. I found the sound quality of vol 1 better than vol 2 although neither is any audiophile gem. Enjoyable though
The last week has also been full of Josh Ritter. His new acoustic live vol 1 LP and also the live DVD he has out from a few years back
Van Halen Tokyo Dome 2 CD Set
The live cd that comes with this 3 disc package...
Jeff Buckley - Live at Sin-é
Fantastic album and wonderful recording quality
Kenny Wayne Shepard-Live in Chicago
AC/DC - If You Want Blood...outstanding.
One of the later discs of the King Crimson Starless box set. I've been taking my time working my way through them. Great music.
Goddo - Best Seat in the House.
This is one of my favorite live Canadian bands. They had a lot of energy on stage in the day. Sign on the Line remains one of my most loved tunes.
Mâäk's Spirit - "Al Majmaâ"
A very intriguing mix of heady jazz-rock, ecstatic free-jazz and trancey Moroccan folk music recorded live at the Jazz Middelheim Festival (Antwerp, Belgium) and at Flagey Studio 4 (a jazz venue in Brussels) in August 2003. The enthusiasts of Don Cherry's ethnic trips should not miss it.
Ahmad Jamal at The Pershing Vol. 2
Estate sale find that is absolutely phenomenal.
Dead Can Dance - In Concert
I was at a friends place last night and he played
Johnny Winter And live at The Fillmore 1970.
Humble Pie King Biscuit Flower Hour Show
Mountain Live at The Capitol Theater
A Rockin good night of live tunes.
No Line no dice.
NRPS-Home, Home On The Road...
I'm listening to Delicate Sound Of Thunder right now
This morning. OJC vinyl from the 80s.
Joe Walsh Dallas '81 questionable "legit" release off Amazon.UK.
It arrived last week and it has been in my car ever since. Amazing version of "You Never Know." And "The Bomber" ain't bad.
"Boys Club - Live From California" by Keith Emerson, Glenn Hughes & Marc Bonilla.
This is the expanded 2 cd set reissue released on Varese Sarabande on 6/2014. Recorded in 1998.
