What is the newest film that would make your top 10?

There are plenty of newer films, I'm sure some great ones, that I haven't seen yet, but of the newer ones I have seen I would say The Master (2012).

 

More of a Daniel Day Lewis tour de force, but it's up there.

 

Passion Of The Christ (2004)

The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford (2007) - This one would probably just miss out but would get close.

 

Pan's Labyrinth (2006) maybe?

 

That would be my choice, from 2016.

 

I just saw it. It wouldn’t make my all-time top 10, but it’s easily in my top three of 2018. Excellent movie...

 

The Man Who Invented Christmas

 

Mad Max Fury Road is the best action movie of all time, and a miraculous movie in an age of CGI and Marvel superhero overload. It's the only recent film that I would consider for my own personal top ten, and would surely be the only action movie in it.

The Passion...saw it at the movies...love it, but i was annoyed at Mel for releasing his DC which literally cut the movie...I'm surprised he caved....

Like you, my top favorite movies are from the 20th century, making the Big Lebowski the most recent in my top 10, if my top 10 really existed.

Yes, it's three films but I will count The Lord of the Rings trilogy as a single entry in my top 10 and I cannot think of any film since Return of the King that I would rate in my top 10 although there were many very good ones.
