This subject has been discussed in bits and pieces, whether related to the Byrds' Sundazed mono singles collection LP (which I would have bought if I still had a turntable) or the great, great mix of Sam Cooke's Good Times that Steve posted a while ago, or discussions of how punchy this or that mono single mix sounds. Much of this discussion has made my mouth water. So, in line with the thread on the birthday of the 45 RPM record, what artists/groups should be releasing such a comp? i'll start with the obvious-The Beatles, and not just in a box set of CD singles! The Rolling Stones have, sort of, with their 3 CD set- does the 2002 remaster feature all the single mixes, or are there still mistakes. There's also Buffalo Springfield, if only for the mix of Mr. Soul that Steve has raved about. Who else?
