What New Blu-ray disc have you gotten lately? (Disc 3)

Watched the 1:66 version, now the extras, next the 1:85, then the 1:33.

 

It's not really that funny of a movie as the cover says, but it is actually a surprisingly touching, dark romantic comedy. Most on this forum will love Kiera Knightley's character in it, as she is a devoted vinyl collector of artists like Scott Walker, John Cale, and Leonard Cohen. That aspect of her personality plays a prominent role in the narrative.

I picked up a minty-fresh Blu-Ray copy of The Last Waltz at a garage sale for two bucks!

For once - a intelligent film that uses long takes, when required..to allow the actors to fully develop a scene.

 

Picked up Deliverance earlier tonight. Looked at The Firm - but was a bare bones affair, just the feature.

 

Everyone getting Zero Dark Thirty today (or yesterday)? I watched it on Netflix last night. Incredible film. And the sound and video quality are top shelf too! My VT50 did a great job on the night scenes at the end. Simple awesome.

 

Picked up the Blu-ray for Thunderball and watched half of it last night.

 

Got a price tracker set for it, when it drops to what I'm willing to pay for it, I'll get it.
