  1. I don't like the new color timing, etc. for that film.

You mean the yellowing? Supposedly that's how it was supposed to be.

  3. Yeah I know but I grew up watching it on TV without it so prefer the other version.

The remake with John Goodman was pretty bad, a shame because I usually like his performances.

  8. B.B. King: The Life of Riley - A decent overview of the legend's life and times with the man himself. I'm not sure how entertaining it would be to someone totally unfamiliar with his music, but Jazz and music fans should enjoy it with all the guest appearances by stars like Bono and Carlos Santana.

    The Hustler - OOP Digibook for only $ 8.96 w/Prime !!!

The old SE DVD froze and acted screwy 6 years ago, but I just put it up. Tonight I checked to see if my Oppo could ignore any defects, but it couldn't. In the trash it went.
Went after a Blu ray replacement immediately.
Hey, it's Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, and George C. Scott in 2:35 AR, with B&W cinematography that can't be beat.

Mongrel Media released Terry Gilliam's 'Zero Theorem' here already (it's not even due in theatres until next month!); oddly Amazon don't even show an upcoming US release. Usually I avoid Mongrel releases and import the US edition but I guess that's not an option here. Weird.

But I did mail-order 'Under The Skin' from Amazon US.
