It Happened One Night
Mr. Smith Goes To Washington
Singin' in the Rain
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
It is a two toned blue and green steelbox, and the variant has a different coloured numbered slipcase cover.
It's purr-dy packaging! I have a Paul Steelbook that I got from the U.K. That might be the only one.... I hate paying extra and I'm imagining dents galore since I get most of my BD's via the mail. I don't know a thing about Boyhood but I'd almost buy the Steelbook if it was on sale just to admire the variated kind....
BREAKING AWAY (1979)
Woodstock, The Director's Cut, with about three hours of musical performances that weren't in the original film. From the $7.88 bin at Walmart!
Picked up Prometheus and Predator 3 pack (1, 2 and the Adrian Brody one) cause they were all cheap and they are all guilty pleasures.
The Mule, a very interesting new film from Australia with Hugo Weaving and John Noble of Fringe fame. A quirky crime thriller in the mold of Fargo.
This Is It
(paid a buck for it )
Does anyone want the ultraviolet code for Mr. Smith Goes To Washington? It's a US code, I can't use it in the UK.
Sneakers (Best Buy Exclusive)
Munich (Best Buy Exclusive)
Lucy (Scarlett Johansson in a strange, strange action/scifi flick)
Jeff Beck Live In Tokyo
Gone to Phantom Stranger
The Last Emperor (Criterion)
Received today from Amazon: "Lust For Life"(1956), "Diner"(1982), "Dragon-The Bruce Lee Story"(1993), "My Best Friend's Wedding"(1997) & "About Schmidt"(2002)...
What is your impression of Diner's PQ? Is this an upgrade for you?
Thank you in advance.
It's a DEFINITE upgrade from the DVD, but the look will be controversial because director/writer Barry Levinson went for a soft period look and this being his first film on a shoestring budget, has film grain very prominent in the HD video scan...it's an accurate presentation of the original theatrical look, but whether that's good or bad will be in the eye of the beholder...
