  2. Reminds me of a time long ago when I was taking a radio production class and the instructor played us a version of Jay and the Americans' "Cara Mia" where someone had spliced together Jay's voice holding a note for a ridiculous amount of time, maybe 20 or 30 seconds. The man has got a set of pipes but geez....

The funky cowbell (COWBELL!) intro to Hugh Masekela's "Grazing In the Grass". Hell, the whole song for that matter. An instant jolt back to the Summer of '68 when this song was floating out of every AM radio on the Jersey shore.

The last half of Backdoor Love Affair off of ZZ Top's First Album. I wish that went on for two or three more minutes.

    1. Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - the bass riff that start around 3:18
    2. Black Sabbath - Under the Sun - the intro
    3. Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows - pretty much the entire song, but particularly the instrumental sections
    4. Throbbing Gristle - Maggot Death (Southampton)
    5. The Sword - Iron Swan, The Horned Goddess, Freya - Those super heavy riffs

The psychedelic rush of stuff that fades up at the end of Strawberry Fields Forever. I could listen to a whole album side of that.

This. Definitely this. And maybe the bridge in "Fairies Wear Boots" at 3:35.

Be Bop Deluxe - Soundtrack from Futurama...a favorite Bill Nelson song of mine. The last 2 minutes are a guitar-gasm!

I have always wanted that ethereal slide guitar part right before the tag in the Rolling Stones' "Monkey Man"(starts at about 2:34) to go on for much longer. I feel like they could keep layering parts on it and it could have turned into something akin to the coda of "Layla", and if there was a 30-minute version of the song with that bit just building and building I would be very happy.

Then again, I think the reason I love it so much is because I listened to the album at least ten times before I even noticed it was there, and it was already high in my all-time top ten albums, but when I finally noticed that I nearly broke down weeping. I'm not sure it would have the impact that it does if it went on for longer. But oh, to have the option...

It's difficult to line up, but I'm trying to do my own extended mix of that. The problem is when Mick comes back in screaming "I'm a monkey", it overlaps with the final notes - and that there's no part that's obviously repeated. But I'm tryin'.

This, but specifically when I'm singing backup and Paul's on stage. You can hear my work on such records as Back in the US. :D

I'd go for a whole lot more of the ending to "One Headlight" by the Wallflowers.

The last minute and a half of Wake Up by Arcade Fire. It basically turns into a Motown groove at the end. I could use another 5 minutes of that part alone.
