Rush on New World Man, Alex jamming away, Geddy's bass pumping, and Neil in full flight.

The Who and the Jon Astley mid 90s remix project extended the fade on Cry If You Want, a great addition to the end of It's Hard with Pete jamming away.

The extended Won't Get Fooled Again ending that cranks back up and ends all over again that I first saw on the '82 tour. More time for Pete jumps and windmills and crescendos, Ox and the drums thundering away. They still do it today, and still exciting being there live.

The lead solo on Steely Dan's "Kings" (Elliott Randall)

From a 2012 interview with Guitarist Magazine...

“When we were doing Kings I just thought, you know what? I’m going to let my emotions rule this one. And scrutiny of that solo shows that it goes from being quite melodic to being completely out-to-lunch. You know when I do that descending whole-tone thing? It’s like, what the hell is that? But that’s what I was feeling at the time. It had nothing to do with what was going on in the track even, but I was letting my emotions run wild and who knows why, but it worked.”

  5. The end orchestration for I Cheat The Hangman by The Doobie Brothers. A haunting song made more visceral because of the work of Nick DeCaro.

Stunning solo at 1.45 minutes should last forever.

The end of Magical Mystery Tour. Sounds like the start of a really interesting psychedelic jam but it ends much too early.

    Three bridges:

Moody Blues, Story in Your Eyes
Dwight Twilley, You Were So Warm
    Chameleons, In Answer

    Two by Tai Phong:

intro, For Years and Years (Cathy)
last section (the one wth the vocals), The Gulf of Knowledge

That's what came immediately to mind. I could think of dozens of others in short order.

Edit: Like the bridge section of Dance Girl Dance by Cinerama. Whole song really, like most of these.

Never heard that Churchills track before but it's terrifically good! And MUCH too short.

I've had the Gracious LP since '73 after hearing Heaven on the radio. It's an excellent track. I even had to call up the radio station to find out what it was! I think it was David Marsden I spoke to. Amoureuse by Kiki Dee was another one I found out like this, She Said by Barclay James Harvest was a third.

I'm listening to The Dream right now. I'm not sure where your section is, we're up to 12 minutes and I must have missed it ...

The "funk" section of Pink Floyd's "Echoes."

Oh by the way, the recently released Live at Pompeii version might be better than the studio.
    SQ is awesome.

I'd bet I could listen to the heavenly chorus from Circles by the New Seekers almost ad infinitum before I got sick of it. At least the last half of this clip, although the best version of the song is the 4:45 single on Elektra.
