What part of a song you wished it never ended?

The guitar solo in the beginning...or the one in the middle.

 

The pre-vocal build ups on Bowie's "Station To Station" and Stone Roses' "I Wanna Be Adored."

 

"Psychedelic Sewing Room" from Too Much Sleep by Bongwater. The entire song is wonderful, but Ann Magnuson's spoken-word story starting at 2:47 is just remarkable. Her voice, the cadence of her words, the images she creates with that story... She could go on for quite some time without me getting bored with it.

I say this as someone who loves that album just as much after getting sober as before.

If I were traveling through space in a capsule, I would want this solo section playing endlessly on the intercom.

 

I made exactly this when I taped Shine A Light by the Rolling Stones. There were appr. 5 minutes left so I sliced in the refrain two more times. The result was so perfect that I'm still sometimes irritated about the normal abrupt ending.

 

Anyone interested in this topic should listen to electronica, if you don't do so already. You will never have this problem again.

Another one is the Bryan Maclean Love track 'Softly To Me'. Stunningly melodious tune that fades just as a really good guitar break is seemingly just kicking into gear.

I wouldn't mind if the jazzy instrumental ending to 'Broken Arrow' by Buffalo Springfield was longer.

 

That piece would represent the opposite of electronica, as those 4:33 would be different each time you listen.
