I mean I was in the kindergarden at the time and couldn't care less for Punk (or for Prog either). But there must be plenty of guys here who witnessed the whole thing (even from US, which was kinda far away from the frontline). So no matter what are your tastes now let us know which side of the barricades was yours in 1977 - prog/hard/classic rock OR punk/new wave etc? P.S. I always loved that little story about Syd Vicious approaching David Coverdale in a night club and going like "I'm Syd Vicious and you're that old dinosaur right?" (The funny thing is Cov' was like 25 or 26 when he quit Purple!). David's reply: "Yeah, and my name is Dave Ferocious and I'm about kick your *** if you're still here in a minute!"
