When I got my Thorens TD160 last summer, the rca cables had been removed. I purchased a set of Monster cables (I got them cheap) and had them soldered in. The setup works fine for right now but with my new Tannoys on the way, and a serious upgrade in amplification, I want to ensure that I get the most out of my rig. My Thorens gets played often and I won't be able to replace it anytime in the near future. Would I gain much by replacing the monsterwire with something better such as Grover wire? Does Grover offer interconnects without rca connectors on one end? I have also seen TD160s modded to have an output box on the back but this is way beyond my level of skill and have also heard that it can create a buzzing sound.

I suggest you send Grover a PM and ask him directly.

I'm pretty sure that Grover can modify any wire to your requirements.

    PMC7027 is right - send Grover a PM! :)

You can easily remove the RCA connections on most cables.
