I just purchased my 2d 1971 Sony STR-6055 receiver. Both are in daily use; one in my main stereo system and the new one in my computer audio system. Love the midrange on this amp.

I'm sad my Pioneer Elite M91 power amp fried out, I'd like to get another but I don't think I want to spend the money on an old power amp that will most likely die the same death as the one I have. I still have the C91 preamp and F91 tuner though.
Has Pioneer terminated the Elite line? Even if it hasn't, I doubt it is still making comparable amps ... Can you get the amp repaired?
I believe the amp below is the current iteration ... Unfortunately, the absence of a tape loop prevents me from getting one. This is also a Class D amp. Is this new model still made in the UK? Is Cyrus a part of Mission as it was back in the early 90's ...
Interesting. The thing I like best of all in mine is the fabulous built in phono stage, both MM & MC. Tremendous build quality. I keep being seduced by s new valve (tube) amp, but can't bring myself to do it: For my modest system and less than ideal listening space the Cyrus is ideal,
