Sadly no. It was completely restored thou so hopefully no worries in the immediate future. Peace of mind is priceless!
Many of the fully restored vintage receivers are better than what are available on the market today ...
That's what i was told when i took it to a shop for repairs. It was a CL score. I showed up 15 minutes after it was listed for $400 cash.
Major regrets. Wish I had owned a Sansui or a Marantz receiver. I owned a Sansui cassette deck, which is still in my garage and a second-generation Marantz CDP. But they are not as much fun as a receiver or an amp ...
Just picked up this Pristine Kenwood Eleven GX Today. Its the USA Version of the Kenwood I featured a page or 2 back. Just wish Pioneer or Marantz had made this design. It is a Monster Receiver in Watts and Size.
That Kenwood's a beaut! There were a lot of great receivers made in the late70s/early80s. I'm using a Pioneer SX-5570 right now, but it's not as purdy as this one.
This beauty has been sitting dormant for far too long in my Dad's closet. Looking forward to giving it some TLC and building a system around it. So many great memories of listening to some great vinyl as a child though this amp. Yamaha by Drew Turner, on Flickr
