"Fun Day" sounds so MJ influenced.

The last singles in the 45 era that I know of by Stevie that I heard frequently on the radio were both "Skeletons" and "You Will Know." Post-45 era, "For Your Love."

Yeah I'm pretty sure he wrote that one. That's how I remember it from the Classic Albums doco. Sembello seems like a very funny sweet guy. He shines on that documentary.

Meh! I didn't like it mainly because they were running a record shop which stocked records I had zero interest in, then on top of it, they diss STEVIE? **** that.

Sembello is both a great guitarist and a fine vocalist and songwriter as well.....But, I just checked the credits and Stevie wrote the song by himself.

Beautiful. How old was he when he fell in love with Syreeta :)

  11. "I Just Called To Say I Love You" Hated it then and I still hate it now.
Since then, I've discovered albums like "Innervisions", "Talking Book", "Music Of My Mind" and many others and Stevie Wonder is now of my favorite artists.

There is some great live footage of this band with Ollie Brown on drums. What a drummer!! It really illuminates the organic nature of the music seeing it happen on film.

Did you know that most of the songs feature Stevie on drums?

The album is solid but that album cover tottaly screams 80's cheese lol
I seriously love this song.. I don't like all the corny synth noises but that chorus more than makes up for it.

Yes, but I was referring to the performance footage. Ollie Brown kicks it to another level...

The fact that it took 6 pages to get to this song makes me question a lot of tastes.

I'm guessing many of the people in this thread didn't hear that song on the radio.

I think his "crap to good songs" ratio was actually higher in the 60's than the 80's.

I'll take any of his 80's radio hits over any of his 60'a album filler tracks ANY day!

It was I Just Called to Say I Love You which it seemed was No1 for ever in the UK. This has always left me with a slightly sour opinion of Stevie Wonder as I cannot help it, I loathe that song and I feel bothered that it was the biggest hit Motown ever had in the UK singles chart. I have just realised I do remember Ebony and Ivory too, but strangely that memory does not make me feel any better.
