This was my first live concert, too. My cousin and I were 14, from a small town in Grays Harbor County, WA. Our parents surprised us with the tickets. They drove us to Seattle, dropped us off at the Colisieum and waited outside until it was over.

I think we were at the evening show on August 25, 1966, because in my foggy memory I remember Paul or John telling the crowd not to throw stuff, or they would walk off, because Ringo had been hit in the head by a tube of lipstick in the earlier show. We were in heaven. Didn't matter if we couldn't hear them very well. We were in the middle of Beatlemania.

If a six-year-old had to witness thousands of teen and pre-teen girls crying their eyes out en masse, at least it was a "happy" event.

It was OK. I've seen a lot better since but at the time though, it was mind-blowing!
Still love ELO though and hope I get to see Jeff live at least once more.

I got my best friend to give me his ticket so that I could ask a girl I really fancied to a Rory Gallagher Concert, that was 1972. It was a good move I'm still with her! YYEESS!

4/79 Cheap Trick, Kingston, PA "Dream Police" tour. I was 9. I asked my parents if I could go.

It's ALL Cheap Trick's fault. :agree:

Joe Perry-less Aerosmith with an opener called Rose Tattoo, at CCCC, Portland, ME. on my 13th birthday. I seem to remember that Tyler had fallen off the stage in Worcester right before this. They were a mess.
I smoked some hash. No idea what it was... Little did I know my Dad knew a security guard who let him in during "Dream On" encore. He found us not all together coherent.
I got better at selecting music to see live and hiding my substance choices from Dad in the (very near) future.
