I can remember the days when he was on all the covers of the magazines. You never hear a word about him nowadays. Is he still alive or just hiding out?

    From his website listed above:

"A trained EMT since 1988, Bobby now works for the L.A. Police Department as a specialist officer, assigned to the training department, where he is responsible for teaching thousands of cadets first aid and CPR. Bobby has said that medical rescue work and teaching is the best life experience and training that he could ever have.

In 1999, Bobby become a San Bernardino County Sheriff, starting the same service he provided for the LAPD."

I can just see a bunch of 40-something women purposely speeding down the highway in hopes that Sheriff Sherman pulls them over.

    :yikes:

Listening to Bobby Sherman's Christmas album right now! Certainly my favorite behind the Beach Boys. "Christmas On Her Mind" should be a standard, IMO. Anyone else have some love for this one?

IIRC, he was sometimes called "Little Bobby Sherman" back in the day (early 70's). He also tried his hand at acting in a movie where some people were stuck on a ski-lift or something, and he saves this woman's hat from flying off?? That's the last I saw of him..

Well, at least he left behind one of the all-time great songs for a strip-tease routine: "Julie, Do Ya Love Me?"

I remember years ago reading that he had constructed a miniature replica of Disneyland's Main Street USA in his home. I hardly remember what I'm supposed to do tomorrow, dunno know why that stuck with me;)

A friend of mine ran into him in the San Bernardino court house a few years ago and he was in uniform. I got a letter from my friend with Bobby Sherman's autograph. What a hoot!

I think Bobby's career change is kind of interesting. I believe Bobby Sherman was on a Teen Idols' Tour about 8 years ago-? with Davy Jones and some other crooners from that era (late 60s early 70s).

    And Peter Noone - yes.

I LOVE Bobby Sherman. I make a point of picking up his 45s (the picture sleeves) when I run across them.

I'm not a 50 year old woman and I'm not a gay guy. I just love him and his music.

"The Drum" may be my favorite by him, but his version of "Mr. Success" is killer, too (probably the only one on the forum who thinks it smokes Ol' Blue Eyes version!).

But like most of the younger fans, I got hooked by "Easy Come, Easy Go". Though "Little Woman" was the bigger hit, I think "Easy Come" has held up better and has become played more over the years.

I can't say I ever liked any of his songs, but it sounds like he's doing well and that's always good news.

I recall getting a single with "Cried Like a Baby" as a gift. It got some play, but to me, he was kind of an early 60's throwback - just a pretty face singing MOR pop songs.

I know he was on HERE COME THE BRIDES, but I remember him more for the Partridge Family appearance that got spun off as it's own short-lived series, GETTING TOGETHER:

"A pair of pop-oriented songwriters--melodist/singer Bobby and tone-deaf lyricist Lionel--try to eke out a living in the Los Angeles music scene. They live (along with Bobby's younger sister Jennifer) in an antique shop, and Bobby works on the side as a recording engineer until he and Lionel get their big break. Rita was their friendly landlady, and Rudy her cop boyfriend." (from IMDB)

And who can forget his guest shot on the MONKEES as "Frankie Catalina" - I still laugh to myself thinking of the whole "Baby I Love You" sequence....!

Yes, there may be a day when a Little Woman gets in her vehicle only to be pulled over by Mr. Sherman. She'll be singing to herself, La La La as she rolls the window down greeted by Bobby, asking for The Drum roll, license and registration. "Why were you driving like you were, he'll say. She's a bit fearful, and yes...Cried Like A Baby. He'll let her off with a warning and a smile...then he'll say...Julie, Do Ya Love Me? . What she says at the end is unknown. Oh well, Easy Come, Easy Go!

I have to agree I never cared for Bobby Sherman's music... but I am glad to hear that he is doing well.

I always liked him. The last time I heard of him touring was with the previously mentioned Teen Idols tour several years ago. I hope to see him live one day.

I saw that show when they played Westbury Music Fair. You had to see the women go bat**** when he was on. I've personally never seen anything like it. It was as if they were transported back to 1970 and being 12 again. They went nuts. Throughout his whole performance. My girlfriend who was with me couldn't stop laughing.
