"Nicotine & Gravy" and "Peaches & Cream" fade out early. The record ends with "Debra".

Maybe we should have a Beck variants topic?

Does anyone here know about a record that came out collecting productions by Tom Wilson. Mostly psych music. Don't remember it's name. Maybe have only been released in Europe. Looking for this but never seen in the flesh.

I've decided that if I can't find it, it doesn't exist. Makes life a lot easier.

Never seen one, but I'm sure it would look good on my shelf.

I've known about this record since I was in high school in the early 80's. I've never seen a copy, until this weekend when I bought it!

This is Quarterflash, before they signed to Geffen Records. Quarterflash was kind of a big deal in the PNW back in those days.

Dutch Rock Alive and Well IV. Cd. A promo CD for the US market from a Dutch radio organisation. Have seen most other volumes on eBay. But not this one. And I really want those live tracks from The Serenes.

Frozen Noses, Crosby Stills and Nash demo before the first album. I remember cuts from this being played on late night radio in LA a very long time ago.

There are actually two that Joel Whitburn has in his vault; he's the guy who's authored all those Billboard chart hits books for every radio format under the sun.

He actually keeps these under lock and key, knowing full well he probably has the only two in existence, and he's the only one who knows which ones they are.

And that's how he recognizes other resources that list either of these two in their own selections...so he can sue them for lifting his work.

It exists, it apparently was only made in France and never made it across the border from there. I live in the Netherlands, have spent several days going through Parisian used bins, but so far... :shake:

If anyone here has one, please contact me.

I think many things are possible to find, though whether affordable or not is another matter...

There's the promo 12'' release of Coldplay's Blue Room EP I wanna have. No one's selling it on Discogs and Ebay since a long while.

While many items can be had fo a price, there are genuinely rare items not even listed on discogs.

In 30+ years of new & used cd shopping in many cities I have never ever seen an RCA Bowie cd in a physical store.

Me neither, but there are many items that I've never seen in a physical store that I own, or have seen multiple copies online. The Bowie RCAs aren't necessarily rare, but they are in demand and people don't usually give them up easily.

The opposite can also be true: finding things in stores that you never knew existed.

New Zealand band The Verlaines' Over the Moon from 1997. Only issued on cd in NZ and perhaps Australia, but I have never been able to find one online. Copies have sold on Discogs for cheap, so demand isn't even the issue....just scarcity.

  24. I have a white album in mono but one of the LP's says "stereo". Is that close enough?
