If you're talking about the actual official vinyl release from 1994, they're fairly rare, but not impossible to find. I've got one. As for the original pressing from 1987? Forget about it. It's almost as rare as a Beatles Butcher pressing.

I friggin' walked into my local "Dan Fogelberg" shop on Monday. I call it that because that's all they seem to have, but on occasion a real gem. There was a guy monopolizing the "NEW ARRIVALS" bins, so I started browsing the other bins. BOOM! Led Zep II RL both sides, Sterling Sound....the holy grail! VG condition....$10....plays beautifully - a few snaps and pops, but not a scratch.

The dude who was perusing the NEW ARRIVALS, saw what I was looking at. When I told him it was an RL - he was PISSED! Just to say...it's out there! You'll find it!!!

...never have even seen one anywhere but on my computer screen...And, in the 100+ dollar range, to boot.

3 Canadian psych classics from the ‘60’s / 70’s. All available on reissue, but it’s the originals I want. I imagine I will die before I own originals of all three of these.

I actually bought the Record Store Day LP as well as the CD. Who knows if I ever see it again?

Outtakes collection from one of my all-time favorite bands. Been looking for a copy of this CD for about a decade. No luck yet.

I understand why collectors want an artists' first recordings, but, honestly, it's not very good. I'd rather Tori had released vinyl versions of some of her mid career albums that were never released on record when they came out. Of course that's easy for me to say, innit.

Legend has it that the Tangerine Dream soundtrack to the 1983 movie The Keep was issued and immediately withdrawn in 1984. When they finally came out with an official release in 1997, it was full of musical anachronisms that could not possibly have been on the original.

A few currently elusive titles (on original LP):

George Harrison - Live in Japan (I was recently in Japan, no copies there either:))
Siouxsie & The Banshees - Twice Upon A Time (saw one for $100, too much)
    Stone Roses 1st album
The Jam - Extras (found one that was too beat up)
    The Cure - Disintegration
Caravan - If I Could Do It Again, I'd Do It All Over You
Dexter Gordon - Our Man In Paris
Art Blakey - The Big Beat
New Order - Technique (I probably shouldn't bother, the reissue is good)

Really glad I got all my classic Beck records about a decade ago before the goldrush. Picked them up on ebay for $25-30 each.

I've got Odelay, Sea Change, Morning Phase, and Song Reader on vinyl and CD (everything else on CD only). I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a copy of Mellow Gold ten years ago, when it was dirt-cheap. I'm curious, though: Do you have Midnite Vultures? That's possibly my favorite Beck record, but I've never seen it in the wild.

Okay, now I feel stupid. I commented without clicking the link, and just assumed you were sarcastically wishing to find a generic copy of Dark Side. Still funny that way, though.

Yep, Midnite Vultures and Mutations with the bonus 7" were my proudest ebay scores way back when. Also got that 4xLP Odelay reissue as a gift not too long after it was released.

    I saw one in the 80's. $500:laugh:

I can't confirm this, but I was told back then that there were well done bootleg copies going around.

I found a copy of Fever In Fever Out by Luscious Jackson today. Definitely knew it existed and Discogs shows copies in other countries but I have NEVER seen one in the wild, in the US, until today. $30 too, not a bad price. Probably take another 20 years to find a copy of Natural Ingredients.

The record I really, really can't find is Acetone's self-titled LP. I'd pay a lot for that one.
