Paul McCartney Flaming Pie. An original is just TOO expensive. Still waiting for a re-issue to ever happen...
Interesting question. I have assumed it was released as a singe. I got the image from Wikipedia, which is not always 100% accurate. If the single wasn't released, the record would certainly be a "Holy Grail" for a Hunters' collector!
NM copies are going for $400+ USD...one day! I have the Classic Records' No Angel and it's stunning. Maybe the best-sounding LP in my collection. I'd love to see Safe Trip Home and Girl Who Got Away reissued on vinyl. I'm not hopeful
Yes! That's one of my grails too. The originals are going for insane prices. Have you heard the Impulse reissues? Are they any good?
This is a self defeating thread since Sellers will now charge even more for these unobtainables. I post mine here in invisible ink. So there.
Have you read some of these grails that people desire? Apparently R.E.M. - Monsters on CD would be a dream come true for one user. I wouldn't call that unobtainable.
When man finally discovers life on other planets, the first thing they'll see in this alien civilisation will be a CD of Monster. Had I known how desirable this was, I'd have taken much better care of my copy, which I bought in 1996 with my first ever weekly pay. Its not terrible, but the outer box certainly has the battle scars of moving house about eight times…
I have a copy and yes I think it sounds good. I think I paid $12. My father-in-law has an original copy of El Daoud that I have to constantly force myself not to steal I know for sure he wouldn't notice.
Third state Butcher Cover... have first and second state and looking for a very good copy of a third state...
I guess for me it is a copy of Buckingham/Nicks on CD, would really love to see a nice reissue of the album.
I think I have everything I want/need, that's already been released. Unreleased stuff, that's a whole other ball game
I asked because my local store got one in and are asking $800 for it. I didn't really check condition, as I have no desire to own it. I thought it was interesting they had one though.
