Dub, Roots, Steppers, Lovers, Dancehall, absolutely anything goes.

My choice is easy, as it was the very first reggae album I bought, and remains my favourite to this day. The album is Steel Pulse 'Handsworth Revolution' (1978). It has eight songs that are just perfect in every way. The subject matter, the complex harmonies, the subtle mix of instruments, the vibe, the illustrated cover. I think it is one of the greatest, most assured debut albums in reggae. And they come from Birmingham, England. JA take that!

    Hmm, difficult...

This moment it's a choice between Lee 'Scratch' Perry's 'Super Ape' or 'Heart of the Congos' of the Congo's. Well, both are produced by the same master... :)

Only the absence of Bob Marley keeps The Harder They Come from being the definitive reggae album.

I love the Clash doing reggae tunes. I wish they had done a whole LP.

Reggae is one of those types of music I personally only like in small doses, so I only have Bob's Legend, THTC, and a Rita Marley album (plus several reggae-flavored tracks by the Clash, Clapton, etc.).

Catch a Fire here as well.
But Talkin' Blues gets pretty close, if only for the somewhat bewildered pleasure of hearing Bob Marley talk.
