What's your favorite Pink Floyd lyric line ?

High Hopes

That's a key line for me.

But my favourite lyric complete is "Echoes" - sublime and transcendent. It's not really about anything, yet manages to be about everything that matters to all of us.

 

I cannot believe how true this still is, and how few who understand this. (The way I do, anyway... )

 

Always loved all the lyrics in The Gunner's Dream, especially these:

After the service when you're walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air
You hear the tolling bell
And touch the silk in your lapel
And as the teardrops rise to meet the comfort of the band
You take her frail hand
And hold on to the dream

The whole album is a favourite of mine.

This is also my favourite, and I love the way the final word merge with the strating sax solo - it's pure beauty.
