Geez, excellent question. I'll have to think about it and get back maybe tomorrow.

But... then it won't be today.

Sure is. It’s not called Among My Friends and Family In My Warm Cozy Den.

It’s not a classic 12 Bar Blues form but it’s a Blues tune. It’s also a great spontaneous performance. I love the fiddle in particular, which sounds like John Hartford to me.

Taj Mahal- Bacon Fat, because some nice greasy bacon can warm you up in the middle of a nasty blizzard.

Great CD,too bad it was out of print soon after it's release. The release by Fred Kaplan with Junior and that same band is really good to.

I listened to it on my i-pod whilst on my daily bicyle ride & I'm pretty sure it is a dodgy copy. I tried to buy it through Bluebeat Music but Charlie told me that Junior was only selling it off the bandstand. Makes it hard to buy a legit copy when he's @ 15,000 km away.
I notice that he now has them on his website.

Yes I did manage to buy the Hold Your Mule cd. What a band Fred,Junior,Kedar Roy, Sax Gordon & the much missed Richard Innes.
Piano players in blues these days are so overlooked - especially by the blues/rockers. Fred Kaplan is one of the very best.

Yeah. Not deserving of such things. But she thought I was.God bless her heart.I think my orig B&W 78s played on my Silvertone might have had something to do with it.Not really she has always been a good girl/wife.

There are many different forms and styles of Blues. Check out the Wiki page on Blues styles, it has some sound samples too.

Not the best recordings but has a young Mick Taylor in the band.

Terrible sound quality - mostly pretty ordinary music but I do love the cover
