Just grabbed the soundtracks to SERENITY and FIEFLY. I was late in getting them, and as they were a Barnes & Noble exclusive limited to 1500 and 1800 copies each, I thought I'd never find them. Oddly enough, despite them being sold out online and in stores, one random B&N near me had BOTH! Happy days! I picked them up yesterday :)

    The KLF - Chill Out.

More a piece of nostalgia for me then anything. Not really something that will get played awholeheckofalot.

Also hoping the kids might stumble on it one day - it will blow their minds :)

I thought it would be hard to find and much $$$ and original releases are but at some point a bunch of bootlegs showed up and this one, though pressed off-centre, actually sounds pretty good.

Rumour was that it might have been the KLF themselves who pressed a bunch of grey-market ones recently.

Picked up a near mint copy of The Manfred Mann Album based on comments in this forum. It is so good--like hearing early Stones for the first time! That copy was a bargain at $5,95 at a local record store. Hope to find more by MM--those few folks who have commented on their albums here are very enthusiastic about them. Also picked up a nice clean Legends of the Reconstruction by REM. Great to hear that cranked up on vinyl after 20 years! Sometimes getting a great album makes your collection feel so much finer!

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb by U2. I always loved the album but not the sound. The LP is a significant improvement although it's still not a great sounding album.

  21. Just received the rhino reissue of the Grateful Dead’s American Beauty. Wow, sounds fabulous. I also have Europe ‘72 from this series which is excellent also. Will probably end up grabbing a few more titles that I don’t necessarily need because they are just that good.

Anyone compare the rhino AB to the MoFi? I’ve read Fremer’s review but curious for some other opinions.
