T Rex - Electric Warrior (Rhino 2017) Had to get this after perusing the thread about it. First time owning the album and this is a first class reissue. Mastering is great, very engaging, pressing is immaculate and the jacket is over the top gorgeous.
Michael Stirling - Deva Loka Been into ICM (Indian Classical Music) lately since I built a box tanpura. Quite like this album, he's got a great voice. And as it's a live record, there's a coupla moments where he coughs, or has a rough intro, and it makes the performance more appealing, more human maybe. Bandcamp: Deva Loka, by Michael Stirling

Latest vinyl purchase is Never Twice by Nick Waterhouse. It came out a year or two back, but I just picked it up a few weeks ago. I've given the album quite a few spins since then and really dig what I'm hearing! Nick has a really cool 60s soul vibe, but it's genuine. Never Twice doesn't sound like a guy trying to imitate that sound, but rather a guy that has embodied that sound and makes it his own. The packaging on the vinyl release is quite impressive, too, with a high gloss cover, cardboard inside to the sleeve (actual brown cardboard, just like albums used to have) as well as a plastic inner sleeve to protect the disc. I would definitely recommend it - a winner for sure! Oh, and this is my first post on here. I've read quite a few threads over the past few weeks, and decided it was time to sign up & contribute. This seems like a pretty special place!
