My recent pickups this past few days are as follows: On Friday 12/2 I went to Kiam Records Shop in Nyack, NY. I got these albums: 1. Tommy Bolin- Energy (RSD leftover. This one made me EXTREMELY happy!!!) 2. James Taylor- Mud Slide Slim 3. Lynyrd Skyrnrd- Nothin' Fancy I got the last 2 for free. Once you spend 100 bucks you get 10 bucks back in store credit on used albums. Very cool. Also earlier that day I ordered Fleetwood Mac's Then Play On on Discogs. 14 track version with the 2nd cover. Can't wait to hear that one. And yesterday I went to my favorite record store, Music Connection, and got the following records: 1. James Taylor- Sweet Baby James 2. James Taylor- One Man Dog (Quad!) 3. James Taylor- Greatest Hits 4. Rick Wakeman- Journey to the Centre of the Earth 5. Rick Wakeman- The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table 6. Fleetwood Mac- Mystery to Me Overall I'm at 1144 total in my collection, it was another fun weekend of crate digging for me.
I finally decided to try one of these and got Terrorizer's World Domination from Amazon for only $12. Sounds great!
This gem was finally reissued on vinyl a couple of months ago in a very limited edition (700 copies) pressing from Japan for the Korean market.I snagged one at $36.Copies of the 2017 reissue have already sold on ebay for more than double that.It is one of Shin Joong-Hyun's post-"Beautiful Rivers and Mountains" psycehdelic masterpieces released more or less in secret at the time.Originals can sell for over $2000.
Last 5: T-Rex - Electric Warrior - KG master Joni Mitchell - Blue - KG master Jerry Garcia - 1st solo - KG master Donald Fagen - The Nightfly - MOFI One-step Neil Young - Greatest Hits - 180 gram CB master (Same mastering as Classic Records release?)
In the past week... New Mazzy Star- so that tonight I might see The Ramones- s/t Sleater-Kinney- All Hands on the Bad One The Velvet Underground and Nick The Stooges- Raw Power Used David Gilmour S/T Thomas Dolby- the Golden Age of Wireless
I bought a copy of Rain Dogs last summer for 30 bucks, and my analysis of the sound is exactly per your copy! How much did you pay by the way?
I got an early Christmas present for myself since I was visiting Amoeba in San Francisco for the last time for a while since I'm changing jobs and won't be travelling to the Bay Area very often anymore. Early UK pressing of Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables (w/ poster) Sealed Ryko David Bowie Pin Ups
Placed an order online for three Prince albums: Sign 'O' The Times, LoveSexy & Graffiti Bridge. Couldn't wait for new music so I went and bought a couple of his 12" Maxi Singles and Lotusflow3r.
Scratched sealed brand new from Sterling (Sony /Legacy ). Can't return it from AUSTRALIA. 3rd try to get a good one. Really pissed off !!
Sony's 2016 compilation of late 30's and early 40's big band Christmas music. There's just something so charming about old timey Christmas music. Despite it having an ugly album cover. Although they may have done that on purpose.
