I don't think they are laminated, but they are coated with something that makes them shiny. Just not nearly as thick as most laminated covers I've seen.
I think you're right about them being from around 1978. Pressings from the earlier 70s have laminated sleeves like the originals. Nice records though. 1978 was a long time ago!
1978 was the best match I could find on Discogs. For all I know they might be bootlegs! But, they look nice and sound good...
Definitely not bootlegs. They were still in print then. I've had some of those issues through my hands. I had one of The Beatles Million Sellers EP for years before I got an original. They are very nice repressings.
The Buddha of Suburbia (David Bowie) The Christmas Spirit and At Folsom Prison (Johnny Cash) Across the Borderline: Sydney Australia February 1986 and Woodstock 1994 (Bob Dylan) War Heroes (Jimi Hendrix) Todd (Todd Rundgren)
Pink Floyd - The Piper At The Gate Of Dawn (RSD-edition mono mix) The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed AC/DC - Back In Black It was a great record store day, despite only buying one RSD album. Will visit next year as well.
Hello there Didn't really buy anything especially for RSD but have been busy this morning Ordered From Amazon Stereo MC's - Connected Then I went to Harrow Audio for a new cartridge, and they have started selling vinyl, so ended up buying Paul Weller - Stanley Road On my way back popped into Sound of the Suburbs and picked up Tracy Chapman - Crossroads. So a been a busy morning, just fitted the cartridge, just having a coffee and enjoying the fruits of my labour. Cheers Frank

Sure! I will tonight or tomorrow. I'm hoping the series continues, as they did a Howlin Wolf one before, same cover style and all.
Picked up Jorma Kaukonen - Quah Donald Fagen - The Nightfly 3 bucks each at a music disc store that's closing nearby.
Deep Purple - Fireball US Olive Green with lyric sheet Janis Joplin In Concert Melanie - Stoneground Words Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks II These are all super clean @ $5 for the lot. Covers all have initials in magic marker though. Mauro Caputo - self-titled. Early 70's Italian mellow funk LP. According to Discogs this was a double LP in a tri-fold sleeve but what I have is a single sleeve release of the second album only. Here's a sample; $2
Got in the local shop a little too late for the new RSD releases. Still, got some great folk/bluegrass lp's. The Flying Fish label released some great stuff in the late 70's/80's, got a variety of lp's by New Grass Revival, John Hartford, and a great lp by Mason Williams. The Williams Flying Fish release from 1978 still has never been released on cd--Grrr! Also got some Ramblin' Jack Elliot, David Ackles, and David Blue's first lp on Elaktra. Their cd/dvd store next door was running a dousy of an overstock sale. Dropped a C note, done great!
