What I mean by this is to get some examples of older tracks that sound as if they were recorded with modern full-range equipment. You know, full of dynamics, life and proper tonality. My example is Steve's version of Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook, specifically tracks such as "Easy to Love". Ella's voice on this (mono) recording sounds just like it was recorded in a modern studio. I hear few limitations of the source or the mics and miking technique used. This one dates from 02/1956. Got any older?
