If the seller of this eBay auction is one of us then I am sorry. I cast no aspersions here. I only want The Forums opinion: Anything about this auction look funny to you?

    Cheers-

You mean besides the spelling errors? I don't remember seeing this sealed in just the slipcase nor have I seen a UDII pressing of this title.

You're not suggesting someone's trying to cash in, are you? ;)

No, not really. This is the shortbox version and I have one too. Frankly I hope the guy gets five hundred bucks for it and has a long, happy life. Again, I don' t know the guy and insinuate nothing here.

Still I wonder: if you are gonna post three pictures of your CD in your auction then why is it that not one of them is of the front?

    Anyone else?

    Cheers-
    Norm

Just looks like an inexperienced seller with the straight goods.

Yes, perhaps...but is there a MoFi sticker on the front of the box??
    ;)

Could be a reseal. If it was a reseal, then it would not have the MFSL stickers on the front - so it would be best not to show it.

I never said it. Last time I said it I got clobbered. But yes Jon, you get my point.

So there really was a slipcase-only version. I thought all copies were the same given the very limited run on this title. Oh well.

This page has the details on Floyd MoFi releases. I didn't get the long box either.

I am pretty sure that all of these were packaged in the longbox. However, INSIDE the longbox they were wrapped and marked so that they could be sold w/o the longbox if the retailer had already changed their shelf space from LP sized bins to jewlbox sized bins.

Has anyone here gotten the longbox and opened it to find the inside package not shrinkwrapped and marked for resale?

My copy was sent to me from MFSL without the long box--they were not all packaged with it. Quadrophenia had similar packaging with the long box, and the slipcase inside was not shrinkwrapped. I don't know for sure, but I would assume it was the same deal with The Wall.

I got mine in a long box. The shortie box was inside, not sealed.

If I were interested I'd ask if the sticker was on the other side. It does look like it has the foam inside.

What's a good price for a used copy of this, assuming it's in good shape? I already have a copy, but my local used CD store is selling one now for $75, which seemed a bit high. They also have Dark Side for $35 and Atom Heart (or Meddle, I forget which one) for $40. The Wall slip case was showing some yellowing so I'm not sure how great shape it's in...

    TSmithPage,

I'd say $75 to $120 would cover most eBay auctions. The price does vary of course, depending on buyer demand. Occasionally one slides through at the low end of this scale, but I'd estimate that $90 is very close to the eBay average. $75 at a record store seems OK to me.
