When did you give up on audio cassettes? I use to tape all my records when I got them. Loved to make my own mix tapes too. It's not the same to me, making them digitally. I didn't get my first cd player till the spring of 1986. Prior to that I bought CDs. I told myself, that all my friends when they got their CD player - they went nuts buying lots and lots of CD's. So I told myself, that I wouldn't buy my cd player till I owned 100 CDs. I taped my CDs at friends houses that had CD players. Still I went nuts myself when I got my first CD player, buying tons of CDs. I still made tapes, mostly mix tapes. Recorded the radio & made tapes for my car. Around 1998 I got my first CD burner. It was expensive as was the 74 minute blanks. Also around this time, all our cars had Cd players. We also had portable boom boxes. So around 2000, I was leaving the cassettes behind. How about you? . ..
