I dunno... can it possibly be any dumber than the first one? ;)

I actually think the title is clever...

Technically, it's a prequel instead of a sequel--not that it really matters!

Just be aware that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are NOT starring in this movie!

It is a Merchant-Ivory production, though, right?

Didn't Kubrick have this idea rolling around in his head for years? :D

  7. Jimbo is right. When I saw the teaser a month or two ago in the theatre, it didn't show any acting. We all thought Carrey and Daniels again, but I looked up the film at IMDB.

    Directed by
    Troy Miller

    Writing credits

Tagline: A New Bread of Idiots. The Evolution of Dumb. Before the first movie, there was high school

    Plot Outline:

    1. Set back in the 80s when Harry met Lloyd in high school where they cross paths with a mean principal and a bunch of other outcasts much like themselves.
    OR
    2. Set in 1986 when best friends Harry (Olsen) and Lloyd (Richardson) were teenagers, this is the madcap comic tale of their attempt to get out of the "special needs" department and into regular high school life.

Either way the movies sounds well, er, dumb.

    Credited cast:
Eric Christian Olsen .... Lloyd Christmas
    Derek Richardson .... Harry Dunne
    Luis Guzmán .... School Janitor
    Eugene Levy .... Principal Collins
    Rachel Nichols .... Jessica
    Mimi Rogers .... Harry's Mom

The trailer was goofy. I've never seen the original and have NO intention of seeing the new film.
