Where are all the new guitar heros?

    He's the first guy I thought of, too. I'm not a fan of the steel guitar, but he's pretty damn impressive.

    That's the truth, I hear music that has some amazing guitar playing and sure isn't pop music. Dream Theatre comes to mind. They have a great guitarist but not many have heard of them. Most of the great guitarists today are either doing solo stuff like Satriani and Vai or they are in a classical/metal kind of genre. I am going to see Children of Bodum (sp?) in December. They are from Europe and the guitar playing is stunning!

    Yeah, both of those guys can't play lead. Might as well throw Stephen Stills and Steve Windwood in there too.
