...besides Amazon and ebay? I'd like to find this locally but a search of Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Tru Value Hardware and Michaels Crafts turns up nothing. Not even old school Texas Art Suppy lists it.

I ordered some steel shot to load my stands and wanted some to secure my Paradigm Titans.

Home Depot shows some white reusable adhesive so I guess I'll try that.

Supermarkets sell it in the UK, along with stationary shops, post offices and lots of other places, I'm really surprised it's not similarly available in the States.

I think I got mine at a Home Depot after asking several employees.

HD carries BlueStik, which is the same thing.

  9. I used to get at Business depot. It's an office supply item. Also try Grand and Toy, etc

Just use any of the other poster putties out there. Blue tack is overpriced anyway, especially when offered from an audio outlet.

If you've ever played with BluTack and the others, you'll appreciate the real thing.

    Australia. ;)

I've found the stuff at every hardware and office supply store I've ever walked into.

Sometimes it's other brand equivalents. All do basically the same thing.

Almost impossible to find BT @ B&Ms. Bought "Duck" brand Poster Putty @ Staples for my Sierra-1 bookshelves mounted on SAUNS sand filled metal stands. Works fine. BluTack, I guess, does not need a wider distribution network.

I found mine at Lowes -- after about 40 minutes of searching. They put it with the adhesives.

I have blue, yellow and white adhesive. I use it to adhere my speakers to their stands. The idea that the color makes an audible difference is ludicrous to me. The idea of sitting down and listening for a difference is even more ludicrous.
Can you imagine sticking them to the stands, listening to a few cuts to get a reference. Then removing the sticky stuff and replacing it with a different color, setting the speakers up again and repeat the listening? Holy crap!

As long as you use a green marker around the adhesive, any color adhesive should be fine. After it's been cryogenically treated, of course. And sliced properly. ;)

I've seen Blu-Tack at the Dollar Store for, yep, $1.00.

i do it all the time.

i've gotten, and continue to get, on occasion,
these packs of 5-odd inch by 6/7 inch diameter thick felt pads
that i feel work great for lining the top panels of components in my system
that do not require ventilation holes in their top-bonnets.

indeed, they came to great extensive use on my PIONEER PD-91 CDP,
and also in between the bottoms of my speaker cabinets
and the surface of the stands they rest upon...

Do you still have non-"stationary" shops in the West Country selling their wares as we only have "fixed" ones now? :D

Oh to return to the heady days of yore when we used to see the greengrocer, the baker, the milkman, etc. with their horses and carts or electric "floats".

There used to be a fish and chip van visited some of the villages until the driver cornered too fast and set the whole thing on fire but he didn't sell Blu Tack.

Yes, I know, I'm taking the piss - I know you meant "stationery"...at least I hope you did.

By the way the manufacturers of Blu Tack have the following to say about their product and its rivals:
"Blu Tack is the original reusable adhesive. The unique formula makes Blu Tack distinct from all the imitations that have attempted to challenge its market dominance."

So don't be fobbed off by the imitations which are obviously inferior and not up to the job of sticking a bit of paper to a wall!
