Ha - I had a feeling someone would pull out a claim Robin Hood was real!

Whatever factual basis exists in Robin Hood = El Grande Mooto Pointo. If there ever was a real RH, he's turned into fiction now - there's so little documentation there that everything's just myth and lore...

 

IMO, ethnicity is only important in a role if ethnicity is important in a role.

There's nothing about Bond or Superman that make them inherently white. They could be any race - they don't need to be white.

Henry Cavill looks the part...so yes, he'd be a good choice.

A lot of silly posts. Bond producers will want a committed actor non contractual to any other company Marvel for example.

 

Remember when Daniel Craig was mooted to play James Bond, howls of dismay. Debut film was royale kick-ass, sadly it was downhill racer after that.

Whitewashing in films has been going on for decades. There is a laundry list of white actors playing minority characters. Johnny Depp as Tonto, Scarlett Johannson as Motoko Kusanagi to name just a couple of recent examples. There are a multitude of examples. The list of white actors playing non-white characters goes on and on and on.
