    Actually very little yet, surprisingly.

The closest is probably Mazzy Star, who I already knew but felt inspired to check out more based on a reply to one of my posts.

I posted a thread about '80s and '90s indie and that led me to discover a lot of names I've not listened to yet, Dolly Mixture is the one I have.

To be honest I've gotten more bum steers on this forum like when I bought Close To The Edge upon hearing it called the greatest album of all time. :D

I can't think of any artists, but I did get The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle many years ago because a bunch of posters here were raving about it. Great album.

Soft Machine and Henry Cow thanks primarily to @jay.dee. Major finds in 2019 that changed how I viewed music. I'd also throw Nilsson in there but I forget the lineage.

I was just going to mention Snake Farm; with thanks to Chris DeVoe for that one. If you’re not familiar with them; Snake Farm, they’re a group fronted by Anna Domino... a sort of side project... and excellent!

A number of obscure and neglected torchy female singers from Ridin’ High’s long running thread titled Obscure & Neglected Female Singers of Jazz and Standards (1930s - 1960s). A highly recommended thread with great recommendations all the way through particularly from forum members: Tribute and Toilet_Doctor.

This thread exemplifies one of the great values of this forum. From my perspective; the greatest. I’ve also got to admit and show appreciation as pre- Steve Hoffman Forum I knew relatively little of mastering nuances and various styles of differing Mastering Engineers.

Some of the newer Blues players... I’ve got the OGs, the originators, the masters and the regional cats covered pretty well... although there’s always someone unknown lurking in the shadows.

I’ve got to pay tribute and give thanks to the SHF as before my discovery of the forum I knew relatively little of the nuances of mastering recordings or the subtleties and variations of style and technic between various mastering engineers. I’ve discovered and honed an additional way to appreciate the music which has been the roadmap of my life. A very great gift.
