I never thought I would hear Refused's "New Noise" being used at a baseball game. Works quite well.

"Wild Thing" for Rick Vaughn. Great in the movie, and considering the actor, crosses over to real life.

Me too, but I didn't let that stop me from voting for Mo.

2 best closers all-time have the best entrance music, Hoffman and Rivera. I went with Hoffman, just to combat the Yankee-love. :)

  10. Someone needs to stand this "tradition" on its head and start coming out to Minnie Ripperton or something similar. Just for kicks.

IIRC, John Smoltz refused to pick a song when playing for the Braves, and one night as he was coming in, the PA guy played Dancing Queen. I think after that he picked a song.

At the "Big Four" concert at Yankee Stadium earlier this week, Metallica closed their set with Enter Sandman. (I'm sure they play this quite often, but just sort of interesting that it was played there.)

We always knew when Mr. Robb Nen came in to 'Smoke On The Water' at the Giants...

  15. Oops - I was thinking about John Rocker rather than Smoltz.

    I'd pick "2001".

Pap, but I'm biased. Still, just because I'm biased doesn't mean I'm not right.

Joey Votto is not a closer or even a pitcher but I love when he walks to the plate to Paint It Bkack... very cool...

    Yes. I love that too.

    To answer the poll:

Ricky Vaughn for the fictional choice

For real, "Enter Sandman" for Rivera and "Hells Bells" for Hoffman

Mo's is classic and I can't stand the Murphys, but I'm a shameless homer and went with Paps anyway.
