My brother's traveling to the USA so I will ask him to bring back a Grado, so I cannot test the headphones myself. I've been advised to get Grado Headphones because they sound amazing and are considered to be the best sounding headphones. I could consider other headphones if you think there are others better than Grado. So here are some factors to take into consideration to see which Grado headphones are more suited for me. - I only listen to rock music, classic rock mostly and a lot of prog rock, some hard rock and heavy metal. Some alt. rock as well. - Do I need a headphone amp? My Yamaha amp has a terrible sound when hooking the headphones directly into them. I would also use D-NE321 Sony Discman, which sounds good with my active noise cancelling Audio Technica. - Are the technical specifications of my Yamaha receiver important in order to choose the headphones? If so, please let me know so I can provide information. - I will be using my headphones ONLY in the bedroom, so I don't need them to be very portable. Also, I may listen hours straight, so comfort is important, but it messes with the sound quality then it's not as important. - No particular budget, but if the relation price to performance is way off, then I would consider getting appropriate headphones more faithful to the price and performance. That would be everything. Thanks everyone beforehand, you guys always help me with my audio questions, even though I lack the technical terminology.
