Which of the current music streaming services do you use/prefer and why?

Another small gripe - they sort "The Beatles" in the T's instead of the B's and The Rolling Stones also in the T's instead of the R's.

Tidal has so much potential to be great, but it amazes me that they can't fix these basic issues.

Have you tried asking Tidal about this?

Yeah I contacted them 2 or 3 times with all of those suggestions - the last time was probably 6 months ago. I never spoke directly with anyone, but I left feedback more than once through the website.

Apparently the new Apple Watch with LTE will support streaming of Apple Music.

I still have the 1st Gen Apple Watch, but this will be a very nice feature for those that want to go out without their phones and still have 40 million songs at their fingertips. I would have updated to a new watch if the cellular services weren't charging $10 a month for adding a watch. It would come in handy for the pool, walking the pups, going to the beach, working in the yard, etc. However, I don't have enough use cases where I leave my phone at home that it would make $10 a month make sense.

I have been using Tidal and like it okay. Its the sort and search functions or lack thereof that are the main negative for me. I am an Apple guy and would really like to use Apple Music but it seems to do anything in Apple Music you have to turn on iCloud Music and I am so apprehensive out of fear that in some have doing that will change or alter my files in my iTunes Library which I absolutely do not want.

I decided to give Tidal another shot this month. Unfortunately, many of the issues I described earlier are still present. I will say that I’m thrilled to see they got rid of that stupid spinning album cover feature on the now playing screen. The LP/booklet look they now have is still pretty tacky IMO but way better than tying to look at album art as it spins in circles...

I’m not sure how their suggested for you section works. I listen to mostly classic rock - Beatles, Dylan, Clapton, The Dead, etc., yet my ‘suggested for you’ section is filled with Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Beyoncé and the like - I’ve never listened to anything remotely close to these artists before. What gives?

I will say that the sound quality is still great, I like the album/track details, and I am looking forward to the day they bring MQA support to mobile devices. I’m hoping that isn’t too far away. The technology is there with the iPhone able to output 24/48 audio and the Audioquest Dragonfly able to decode and render MQA files.
