Those have got my vote. They were also used in DS9's later seasons.

Heads and hands. Shoes with no features beyond being black and having a shine. Featureless body with simple, somber features for identification of brand and function. They're ready to engage that important formal board meeting. Business suits for space.

Actually it is tasteful and well done. Personally I'd prefer something more colorful and scifi/futuristic though. :)

Always preferred Kirk's 'double breasted' v-neck shirt to the standard one.

TOS uniforms with their brilliant colors, that are even more brilliant in high-def!

These were always the classiest for me. Had a cool look without being cheap and kitchy - can never go wrong with your (mostly) basic black.

Disagree, they may have looked great at the movies, but I think those ensembles are more suited to dress uniforms than everyday.

I agree with soundboy - three cheers for Corporal CatSuit!

I've been a Star Trek fan since I was young, I still love these uniforms over all others.

I'm also watching The Search for Spock right now, which made me dig this thread up.

Agreed, these are my favorites too. I loved the whole aesthetic of those films, its never been surpassed IMO.

The Star Trek Enterprise uniforms always looked like something that they stole from Gomer and Goober's grease monkey shop in Mayberry.
    I thought they looked terrible.

Never understood the choice of red - Traditional naval uniforms are blue ("Navy" blue).

Just as long as they didn't beam down in any of those red uniforms! :)

Probably because red photographs better, would be my guess. That said, Roddenberry never really intended Star Fleet to be a military organization, though it did sort of work out that way.

I thought Encounter At Farpoint was the only time we saw the man dress,
But I just saw one in the season one episode Conspiracy.

I just found this humorous blog discussing ST:TNG fashions (usually along with some episode commentary) on boingboing.net today and had to share it.......
