...nice! Welcome to the club @Driver8 Enjoy the journey. If Roxy & Elsewhere blew your mind, don’t hesitate to get the Roxy Performances box. It’s a treasure.
I'd say; Find yourself "Imaginary Diseases" & "Little Dots" for 'more-of-the-same'! Frank was just SITTING on these beautiful pieces!.....
All of them. I just saw Dweezil in Boston last night and he dug deep into the catalog for last night's set list. I'm on a Zappa listening marathon.
He was fantastic and the band with him is phenomenal. They played a solid three hours. Granted my favorite moment was the more 'pop' "Flakes", but that is one of my favorite all time Zappa songs and to finally see it performed live was well worth the money.
I think "Cops & Buns" works BETTER on "Lost Episodes" than it does on the "Meat Light"... maybe 'coz I heard it there first.....
With plenty of albums released during the great man's lifetime and posthumous albums to choose from, which is a feast for your ears at this moment? I'm currently listening to Philly '76
I haven't currently got anything on the player, but i just came off a binge .... uncle meat, weasels ripped my flesh, burnt weeny sandwich, the roxy box .... i'm sure the next binge isn't far away
i really loved the sleep dirt 2012 reissue ... i never even knew that it was originally an instrumental album!!!!
