White Album 50th Anniversary Edition Price and Shipping Thread

The seemingly 4lp version at Amazon for $79 lists it as two discs. I assume the listing is messed up

 

I held out and waited on the "Pepper's" set and eventually got it around $95 or so.

I decided to "splurge" and preorder this one. As you note, it's not a terrible price for a big box, and I can always cancel pre-shipment if I desire.

I don't really mind waiting for a price drop, but given that the preorder for this 6-CD set is about the same as the preorder for the 4-CD "Pepper's", it seems like a good enough deal to just buy it and be done with it!

Yep that's where I ended up getting mine after Amazon Canada fell through - no complaints at all.

 

So deluxe at Amazon in USA not available already ? Interesting.

dude your getting hit with that software that the hoffm A site uses to redirect your linkntaps, Verilink i think they call it. You click on a international link and it takes you to your local link, in your case Amazon UK.

Yeah, strange. I pre-ordered from Amazon US at 10:09 EST for $128 and got my acknowledgment. Now it's listed as "currently unavailable." I wonder if that means it will be relisted at a higher price.

 

Everyone relax, it will be back in stock soon! I believe the price will fluctuate up and down several times before release day.

I just had a weird vision of these things flying all over the world on November 9th. Folks from Ukraine buying from UK. Folks from UK buying from France. Folks from US buying from everywhere except the US. Folks from Canada buying from the US because Canada does not have it.

All these sets are going to be passing each other in mid air.

What a different world from the first White Album release! I doubt many people at all received their copy by air back in '68.

 

I love this. Made me happy while being unhappy that I can't order it until Amazon puts it back up. I would love to make a political statement about capitalism and greed but will hold my fire. It was my Mom's favorite album and mine. I cannot wait for it to be released. So excited.
